Welcome to Penarth Pétanque Clubs' web site, find out about the sport of pétanque, commonly known as boule, you may have played it on holiday without knowing it. Yes, we play it here in Wales at Club, Regional, National and International level.

On this web site and associated web sites you can find all the information required to play the game, if not email us and we will try to help.

WPA Meeting:
19th July at Panteg House, time 20:00.

Penarth Pétanque Club is affiliated to the Welsh Petanque Association (WPA), who in turn is part of the British Pétanque Federation (BPF).

Penarth Pétanque Club meets regularly throughout the year and is active in the national and international competitions held during the summer months.

The club plays every Sunday morning from 11 am, retired members have also started to play on a Wednesday afternoon from 2 pm.

The is also play on a Monday evening from 6:30pm.

Colin Ballet's Team won the 16th annual 'jeux de boule' with the Société Franco-Britannique De Cardiff.

Mark Hollyman's Team were runner's-up.

If you are interested in trying to play Petanque, or have played in the past and would like to start again, then why not turn up on one of our club sessions and have a go.

The club is also interested in encouraging schools to become affiliated and develop the sport with the youth. It is one of the few sports where seniors and juniors can compete on equal terms.

If anybody has won a competition or was runner-up in the Penarth Singles Competition held annually in the past can they let us know, as we want to create a record of all past finalists.

Congratulations to Diane Warren & Stephen Brace who won the 2006 Penarth Open Doubles Competition.

Also to Simone & Colin Ballett who won the 2006 St Pol-de- Leon Competition.

Pendragons were runners-up in the Final of the League Cup, which was played at Panteg on Sunday 15th October 2006.
